Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
- 1 lb. polish sausage (optional)
- 1 30 oz. jar, bag, or can sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1/3 cup sour cream
- 1 lb. egg noodles, cooked and drained
Directions:
- Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the onions and mushrooms. Cook until the onions are tender and mushrooms are browed, about 5 minutes.
- Add the Polish sausage and sauerkraut. Cook for an additional 5 minutes. Stir in the brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook for another 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
