I find it funny when people turn up their noses at thrift store shopping. I think some of my best items, I have found shopping at the thrift store. Unfortuately, a lot of times, I can’t find clothes for myself since I am a bigger girl but, I always find stuff for the kids. Kids grow so fast, it just seems ridculous to pay so much for the items they are going to use.
I got every Wednesday to a thrift store here where I live. I love it there. I have pretty much gotten all of Brynlee’s clothes for summer. For the most part, the boys don't really need anything except for a few pairs of shorts. I am hoping that the closer it gets to “spring cleaning” time, the more people will be getting rid of.
yesterday, I went to my favorite store, and here is one thing that I scored for Brynlee:
That’s right, a pair of actual brand name Crocs. They were barely worn. I brought them home…washed them and use a Magic Eraser on them..and now they look BRAND NEW. For this item I paid….$1. One dollar for an item I am pretty sure it close to $20 brand new.
